Overview
Forge Player – Multi-Source Video Player
Forge Player is a video player management system built with Laravel 11, Inertia.js, and Vue.js. It is designed to bring video sources from supported hosting platforms into a customizable playback experience.
The system integrates JWPlayer and includes video advertising tools, player customization options, and a dashboard for managing video playback and ad settings.
Multiple Video Sources
Forge Player supports sources including Google Drive, Google Photos, YouTube, Yandex Disk, Amazon Drive, Rumble, Dropbox, Facebook, Archive.org, and Mega.nz. It also lists direct video formats such as MP4, MKV, M3U8 (HLS), and TS.
Actual playback depends on source availability, provider restrictions, supported URLs, and the relevant integration configuration.
Video Advertising and Monetization
Configure VAST advertising tags and manage pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ads, as well as pop-up ads. The system also provides per-video ad skip-time settings to customize the viewing experience.
Customizable and Responsive Player
Customize supported JWPlayer appearance settings, including colors, skins, and player behavior. The responsive interface is designed for viewing on desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Sticky Player and Video Information
Sticky mode can keep the player visible near the bottom corner while users scroll away from the video. The product also lists TMDB integration for accessing movie and television metadata.
Deployment Options
The package includes Laravel source code, Inertia and Vue files, and installation documentation. Deployment instructions cover a native Ubuntu setup and a Docker-based setup.
